Calling All Hogues!

4 Comments on Calling All Hogues!

Sorry I haven’t posted in awhile! We’ve been up in Washington helping Jeff and Steph with our newest granddaughter while Steph finishes out her teaching calendar. While It’s been fun watching Opal (I believe she is the 107th known descendant of Charley and Nora Hogue) grow up, I wanted to take a minute to maintain our Hogue Connection.

We parked our trailer at the Evergreen Coho SKP Park in Chimacum, Washington so we have a place to crash nights and we aren’t in the kids’ way all of the time. Our days are spent at their house taking care of the baby and other domestic chores. They have a lot of grass to mow! We’ll head back home soon.

Anyway, I thought I would crank out a quick post to reinforce my intent with this blog. I haven’t been active in genealogy lately (I’ve been working on another research project}, but I’m hoping all my Hogue cousins out there have been! Let’s use this website to make that connection and share family information, especially things about our ancestors. Please read my content, especially RED RIVER TRAILS and the article about HANNAH HALE, and send me any concerns our questions. I’d really love to hear from everybody I can.

For those of you who have subscribed to this blog…thanks! Those of you lurkers (not that there’s anything wrong with that!) out there, please sign up!

I’ll be in touch soon. To return to the Home Page click here.

    Hello
    My name is Victor Hogue

I’ve traced my father’s Scottish heritage back to my great-great grandfather’s family, that settled and farmed in the Carolinas around 1846 so far. I’m still working on it. I know they had a Plantation with 4 workers on the Census. Interesting.

    I’ll update you later.
You can write to me anytime. I love this stuff.

My grandfather/ great-great and so on…. on my mother’s side was Irish /Wales (Morgan) He was a Riverboat Paddle Boat Pilot along the Mississippi from Mobile to St. Louis. Still working on his story and beyond.
