Hello Hogues!
I just wanted to let you know about a couple of things going on here at The Hogue Connection. First, I’ve added a cool new plug-in to the site that will allow me to collect email addresses and provide my visitors with an email update every time I post something new. Fear not, however, because I will not be using your email addresses for anything but letting you know about updates! Please subscribe knowing that your identity remains secure.
Secondly, we will be traveling back to the old Hogue homeland in Oklahoma this spring. It will be the first time I have been back there since 1987. I’m really looking forward to it, and hope to post videos here as we visit some important family locations in the area. We will be back there April 18-22 and will be camping at Lake Murray State Park, in between Ardmore and Marietta. More news on that in future posts.
R.I.P. Department – I just learned that an old genealogy associate from the 1980’s passed away in Oklahoma City this past October. Her name was Eula Johnson Hogue and she provided a great deal of information on her husband’s (Coleman O. Hogue, 1908-1994) family. Coleman was a third cousin once removed and a descendant of William M.’s brother James L. Hogue. Eula and I exchanged a few letters back then, and she provided a nice story of their side of the family which I will post at a later date. I appreciated her input. Condolences to the cousins back there.
So much for now. I’ll get back to the story at hand soon. Meanwhile return to the Home Page here and be sure to subscribe to updates using the simple form you’ll find on the right side of that page.
