Hello All-
I decided to keep everyone posted on our latest road trip. Jane and I are headed back to her old homeland of Madison, Wisconsin via a northern route through Washington, Idaho, Montana, South Dakota, and Minnesota. We’ll return Sep 17th through North Dakota. Jane hasn’t been back to Madison since 1975 and I’ve never been, so we’re excited to see it. Her great grandfather Gottlieb Timmerman settled in Cottage Grove (just east of Madison) around 1859.
We’ll be visiting some of her cousins in Sioux Falls, SD and Minocqua, WI, and checking out her mom’s old home in Portage, WI. Hopefully we can visit the Wisconsin Historical Society, too. Check out #onwisconsin2018 on Instagram for photos of the trip. Right now, we are near Othello, WA and will be heading to Missoula, MT tomorrow, our longest leg of the tour.
